Everyone dreams every night. But what do our dreams mean? Do our dreams actually mean anything at all? Or are they simply our mind’s release?
Here are 5 common dreams and some of the meanings associated with them.
Being attacked or chased
If most of your dreams involve some kind of fight, chances are that you’re involved in some kind of fight or conflict in your life. Keep a note of the creatures, people or things that you fight in your dreams - whether it’s people you know, weird creatures, creatures from outer space, etc. You may need to take steps to reduce the conflict that is going on in your life.
Nudity or nakedness
If you are the naked “star” of your dreams, this can mean that there will be a scandal about to break out in your life.
If the naked people are others, it could be that you are trying to tempt them away from something.
If you’re suddenly naked in a dream and then try to hide your nudity, this could point to an affair or illicit relationship.
Water
Since we need water to stay alove, it’s a good sign to see it in your dreams. Water often signals rejuvenation or something that will invigorate your life.
If there’s too much water, then you could dream about drowning. Drowning in your dreams is often a symbol for being overwhelmed in the real world.
The ocean, with its almost limitless boundaries, signifies that you’ve got unlimited possibilities at present.
Cats
Cats take lots of different forms and can be friends or foes. They can also be small, domestic creatures, wild cats or their bigger cousins - tigers, pumas and lions.
Keep a note of the various types of cat you meet when you dream although as a general rule, cats are linked to your feminine and intuitive side. Your dream may feature a cat losing one of its famous nine lives - this is good as it indicates survival.
Flying
Many dreams show you flying high. If you are flying on your own, soaring through clouds and outer space, this is normally interpreted as meaning that you have unlimited possibilities available to you.
Dreams about flying can also indicate that you’re being released from something that’s been holding you back.
